Heritage Park
This 3,500 square foot home was designed as the third prototype building in Eagle County's first sustainable neighborhood, Heritage Park. Once a ranch site, this project embraces the spirit of regionalism with its simple barn-like structures and local materials. The Owner envisioned a moderately priced home featuring energy efficiency, which made the project popular in a market with increasing energy costs. Heritage Park complied with Colorado's Built Green standards and Eagle County's Eco-Build requirements. This model incorporates an active solar thermal system, advanced structural framing, super insulation and high performance windows. In addition, the materials and products used during construction of the exterior and interior finishes of the home contribute to ecological restoration and a healthy place to live. This home is in the process of acheiving a LEED-H certification in 2010.
